Okay, I suck at blogging. Moving on.....
Tonight I did not know what to make for dinner. We had two delicata squash that need to get used, so I cut them in half, threw them on a baking sheet, and shoved them in the oven to roast. I decided that I wanted to make a sauce out of the roasted squash, to put over pasta. So once the squash was done roasting, I scooped it out of its shell, threw it in the food processor with some shredded gouda, salt, pepper, and ground fennel. The result was SO exciting. It basically resembled a milk and flour based cheese sauce that you would make for macaroni and cheese, but it was SQUASH based. I think I will make my mac&cheese like this from now on, but bake it, because I prefer my mac&cheese that way. You know, with some panko bread crumbs on top? Yum. No pictures, it was gone before I had a chance.
Sounds so freakin delicious. Mouth is watering and stomach a rumblin. I can't eat dairy, soy or wheat while I'm breast feeding due to allergies Savannah has from foods i ingest. I so miss cheese. The rest not so much.I Wonder what I could replace the cheese with? I can actually eat the Ezekiel bread, even with my wheat restrictions.Sprouting verses processed flour does wonders Any ideas for recipes you could pass on to me would be much appreciated.
